To make the most impact, we need to make some difficult decisions. So as 2012 comes to an end, here are some additional products, features and services we’re closing:
Googleカレンダーの「Appointment slots」「Smart Rescheduler」「Check your calendar via sms」といった機能が終了する他、影響範囲が小さくなさそうなのが「Google Sync」の終了でしょうか。
Google Sync was designed to allow access to Google Mail, Calendar and Contacts via the Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync® protocol.
「Google Sync」はGmail、カレンダー、コンタクトに「Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync」を使ってアクセスするために作られたものですが「CardDAV」をリリースしたことから、終了が決まったようです。
Googleでは、IMAP、CalDAV、CardDAVでのアクセスが可能としています。
ネタフルでは「Googleカレンダー」が"CalDAV"サポートで「iCal」と同期が可能にという記事を書いています。参考になれば幸いです。
