6月に開催予定の「WWDC14」で発表される見込みの「OS X 10.10」が「OS X Yosemite」と名付けるのでは、と伝えられています。ヨセミテかー。懐かしいネーミングですね。OS X 10.10 emphasis planned for WWDC, iOS 8 features pushed to iOS 8.1, new Apple TV still in the worksという記事になっていました。
While I understand the internal development codename of OS X 10.10 is “Syrah” (named after the wine), the California-themed marketing name for the software is not so clear. John Gruber suggested on his podcast (the episode in which I was a guest) that Apple should name 10.10 as “OS X Yosemite.”
「OS X 10.10」のコードネームは「Syrah」と呼ばれているそうですが、カリフォルニアをテーマにしたマーケティングネームとしては明確ではないと、そのためJohn GruberがPodcastで「OS X Yosemite」を示唆しているそうです。
確かに「Syrah」と聞いてもピンとこない、という人の方が世界では多いでしょうね。
ちなみに「Yosemite」はこのあたり。
そしてAppleユーザにとって「Yosemite」と言えば、コレですね。
