「The MacBook Air has landed」というエントリーにあるように、アメリカでは「MacBook Air」の出荷が始まったようです。
「From the lab: MacBook Air in the house」というエントリーでは早速、検証を開始していることを伝えています。
For example, it takes about 10 minutes to complete our Zip test, which involves zipping a 2GB folder; by way of comparison, the 2.2GHz Core 2 Duo MacBook (white) takes a little less than 6 minutes to complete the same test.
2GBのフォルダをZip圧縮するテストに「MacBook Air」は10分かかったそうです。2.2GHzのCore 2 Duo MacBookでは6分とのこと。

やはり分解すること自体は難しくないようです。
「MacBook Air: The first reviews are in!」では、大手サイトにレビューが掲載されていることも紹介されています。

That means you could likely get 4.5 hours in a normal work pattern, almost the five hours Apple claims.
スクリーンの輝度を最大にし、WiFiを使いつつエンドレスで音楽をループさせたところ、バッテリの持ち時間は3時間24分だったそうです。
普通の使い方だったら4時間半だろうと記事では書かれていますが、ぼくの場合は輝度も落とすし、使わないアプリケーションも終了させておくので、これはけっこう期待できるかもしれません。
こうなると気になるのは日本の出荷ですが、ぼくは相変わらず2月6日出荷予定のままですが、早まる可能性はあるのではないかと思います。
