サプライチェーンアナリストのMing-Chi Kuo氏が、Appleの「Vision Pro」の出荷台数の伸びは市場予想を下回る可能性があり、廉価版の計画が中止された可能性があると伝えています。
廉価版「Vision Pro」が中止か

Based on some component suppliers’ maximum production capacity estimates, Vision Pro shipments in 2024 will be at most 400,000–600,000 units, which is less than the market expectation of more than 1 million units.
これによると、2024年に発売される予定の「Vision Pro」の出荷台数は、一部のサプライヤーの生産能力から見積もると、100万台以上という市場予測を大きく下回り、40万～60万台となるようです。
そのためかどうか分かりませんが、2025年発売と予想されていた、廉価版「Vision Pro」の計画も中止された可能性があるとしています。
「Vision Pro 2」は2027年上半期までの量産開始が予想されていますが、廉価版がないとなると、約3年間は初代「Vision Pro」からアップデートがないことになるかもしれません。
Ming-Chi Kuo氏は「Vision Pro」は素晴らしい体験をもたらすが、しかし「問題は、なぜユーザーがこの製品を必要とするのかということだ（However, the question is why users need this product.）」と綴っています。
